*Keep soil moistened daily

*Keep soil temps above 65 degrees F

*Use a fan indoors to simulate wind to strengthen stems

*Keep under 5500k-6500k lights to simulate sunlight

*Transplant when roots grow through bottom of your current container

*Always use new soil when transplanting to refresh beneficial nutrients for the plant

Cold Moist Stratification

Step 1: Find a plastic container with a lid that will seal tightly to keep moisture in.

Step 2: Put approximately 1" of water into the container. (You may need more depending on how many seeds you will be stratifying at once. The goal is to have enough water to soak all of the seeds.)

Step 3: Put your desired amount of seeds that require cold moist stratification into the container with water.

Step 4: Lightly stir the seeds around to ensure they are not clumping together so each seed is being moistened by the water at least on one side. (As they sit in the container the bottom seeds will soak up water and continue to fall to the bottom of the container and the other seeds will follow.)

Step 5: Make a label stating the type of seed that is in the container and the date that the stratification was started. (This is important to keep track of time and plant type. You can also put the finish date on a calendar or phone notification to let you know when the seeds will be ready.)

Step 6: Put the label on the container lid.

Step 7: Put the sealed container with seeds inside your refrigerator for the specified amount of time stated for your specific seed type. (These will differ on different plant types.)

Step 8. After the allotted time has passed you are ready to add your seeds to your soil of choice. (If you are using seed cells, place at least 2 seeds per cell to ensure you have as many cells with plants in as possible. No wasted space.)

Step 9. Keep the soil lightly moistened daily with a small misting spray bottle. Keep soil temperature between 68 and 74 degrees F. You can use a meat thermometer to check the temp.

Step 10. Using the information I have provided, you should start seeing seedlings in the amount of days I have listed for each plant type.
